Rolls in two days late with starbucks

Okay, so I know I said I was going to report on the open door day Saturday, but let it suffice to say that I got home in the midst of the night. Sunday I decided I really wasn't up for doing anything at all, seeing as I'd been busy with school the whole week. Therefore, here is a late report on the open door day!

It actually was quite a lot of fun. I was nervous at first, since I don't like approaching strangers at all. But once I'd talked to the first person it gradually became easier to talk to people and tell them about CMD. Sometimes they asked questions I didn't have an answer to, though, so that was kind of awkward still.

After just a bit I was moved from the classroom to downstairs, however. That was still fun, but after a while people stopped coming by and then it got kind of boring.

What I learned from Saturday is that most people really want to know the same information, and that it's actually more uncomfortable for them than it's for me. You can see them walking around uneasily and even when you start talking they don't seem to be quite comfortable just yet. The more you talk, the more comfortable they seem to become, though.

And they're also honestly interested in the opinion's of students, as the question 'what do you think about the study?' came around quite often.

So, that was the open door day! There was free food too so that was good!

Now to reflect on last week. Last week was.. Interesting, I'd say. A new project was started, a new group was made, and new techniques were taught when it comes to research and dividing tasks etc. We weren't very productive the first half of the week, but when we finally got started everyone seemed motivated. After last week, I'm really looking forward to making this game and I'm sure it'll be a blast<3!
