Week 2!

So, with that, the second week is over. I have to say, it was a really stressful week for me. I kind of felt like basically no one in our group had motivation, but we still had to get stuff done.

What I learned this week, was a bit about the game design document and how we should do that. I also learned how to properly do Quality Monitoring and Implementation and how to make a testprotocol at that. Besides that I learned how to make a paper prototype, and how to completely stress out while presenting it because no one listened to me when I proposed we should try it out and stuff.

I also learned how to make a growth portfolio, or partly anyway, because apparently I'm writing too much and it's too elaborate.

I learned something about programming, though the lecture mostly was an introduction to what you could do with stuff, I guess, but I did sign up for the following lectures.

I learned a new concepting method, the 'moscow-method', and I learned a bit of how to handle children. Honestly, I don't see myself as someone who's good with children, and usually I'm not. I really don't know how to deal with them, but when we went to do research at the elementary school, it was actually kind of fun. The girls seemed to really like us, anyway, and they were super enthusiastic, so that kind of helped me to like it as well.

They really like talking about their interests and stuff, apparently. When I was that age I always thought older kids were scary, so it's kind of a surprise, but it's nice to know that they actually like helping older kids with school projects!

I'm not all that happy with how the first iteration ended up, but that's because I feel like I'm more responsible for the project than I should be. I hope that's going to change, but I think it is going to change seeing as people did realise the testing of our prototype was kind of a disaster and they made a new task list for next week.

We'll see, I guess. That was it for the second week and the first iteration! Let's hope we manage to make a nice cooking game.
